  1. 75th UNICEF Day is being celebrated on December 11,2021.
  2. International Mountain Day is celebrated annually on 11 December. The theme for 2021 is “Sustainable Mountain Tourism”.
  3. Chhattisgarh government’s first Institute of Driving and traffic Research was inaugurated by CM Bhupesh Baghel on 9 December 2021.
  4. Uttar Pradesh Cabinet has approved the Atma Nirbhar Krishak development scheme for boosting the agriculture sector. Atma Nirbhar Krishak development scheme will be implemented from the current financial year.
  5. Union Minister of State for Education, Dr. Subhas Sarkar has informed that the government is all set to launch ‘Bhasha Sangam’ mobile app. The mobile app is developed to give users familiarity with common expressions of daily conversation in scheduled Indian languages.
  6. The National Commission for women has launched an online resource Center. It will offer help for women in distress on issues pertaining to online safely such as Cyperbullying, Cyberstalking, financial frauds etc under the ‘We Think Digital Programme’, run collaboratively by the commission, Facebook, and Cyber Peace Foundation.
  7. Professor Neena Gupta , a Mathematician at the Indian Statistical Institute in Kolkata, has been awarded the 2021 DST-ICTP-IMU Ramanujan Prize for young Mathematicians from developing Countries.
  8. Indian’s first human mission “Ganganyaan” will be Launched in 2023.
  9. The United Nations has appointed Catherine Russeli as the next Executive Director of the UN Childen’s agency UNICEF.
  10. Balkrishna Doshi will receive the Royal Gold Medal 2022 by the Royal Institute of British Architects (RIBA), the world’s highest honour for architecture.
  11. Apollo Tele Health a multi-Speciality telemedicine network, has become the first ever organization in the world to attain the certification of ISO 13131:2021 presented by the British standard Institution(BSI).
  12. Manipur won the Senior Women’s National Football Championship after defeating Railways in the final at the EMS stadium in Kozhikode on 9 Dec 2021.
