1. The Prime Minister, Narendra Modi has remembered Pandit Bhimsen Joshi on his 100^th birth anniversary on 4 February.
2. The tableau of Uttar Pradesh has been picked as the best tableau among the 12 States/UTs which participated in the Republic Day parade on January 26, 2022. The theme of the tableau of Uttar Pradesh was ‘One District One Product  and Kashi Vishwanath Dham’.
3. The Aravalli Biodiversity Park in Gurugram, Haryana, has been declared as India’s first “other effective area-based conservation measures” (OECM) site. 
4. India has finalised the Hoysala Temples in Karnataka as its nominations for World Heritage Sites List for 2022-23. 
5. The foundation stone for the third border haat at Kamalpur-Kumarghat on Tripura Bangladesh border was laid on 3 February.
6. A Telugu short film ‘Street Student’ by Akula Sandeep depicting the story of a street urchin with a strong message on right to education has bagged the first prize in a competition organised by the National Human Rights Commission (NHRC). 
7. The government of India has appointed JNU (Jawaharlal Nehru University) Vice-Chancellor, M Jagadesh Kumar as the new Chairman of the University Grants Commission (UGC).
8. The low-cost Indian airline, IndiGo has appointed its co-founder and promoter Rahul Bhatia as the Managing Director (MD) of the company with immediate effect. 
9. A short biography of Indian athlete Neeraj Chopra has titled ‘Golden Boy Neeraj Chopra’ authored by sports author Navdeep Singh Gill has been released.
10. Virzu Studios in association with MIDAS Deals Pvt Ltd has released the motion poster of its upcoming graphic novel, ‘Atharva – The Origin’. Cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni has been portrayed as the superhero Atharva in this graphic novel.
11. Prominent film personality Ramesh Deo, known for playing a diverse range of roles, in Marathi and Hindi movies, passed away due to a heart attack. 
12. The much-awaited Chandrayaan 3 mission is scheduled for launch in August 2022, informed Union Minister of State (Independent Charge) Science & Technology, Dr. Jitendra Singh.
13. The 2022 Winter Olympics has kicked off on February 4, 2022, in Beijing, China and will continue till February 20, 2022. India had announced the diplomatic level boycott of the Beijing Winter Olympics opening and closing ceremony.
14. A seven-member defence delegation from the Sultanate of Oman, concluded its two-day visit to the Southern Naval Command in Kochi on 4 February 2022.
15. India lifted a record-extending fifth ICC U19 World Cup title after defeating England in the final at the Sir Vivian Richards Stadium in North Sound, Antigua.
16. Sankar Muthusamy Subramanian and Samayara Panwar secured the Under-19 boys and girls' singles titles respectively at the Iran Junior International Series badminton tournament on 4 February 2022.
