  1. ‘Pluto Day’ is celebrated annually on 18 February  to commemorate the anniversary of the discovery of Pluto in 1930.
  2. 392nd birth anniversary of Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj, the great Maratha warrior, was celebrated on February 19, 2022.
  3. 167th birth anniversary of U. V. Swaminatha lyer was observed on 19 February. He was a renowned Tamil Scholar who is admired for his contributions to the Tamil culture and language.
  4. Death anniversary of freedom fighter Gopal Krishna Gokhale was observed on 19 February. Year 2022 marked his 107th death anniversary. He was also the founder of the ‘Servants of India Society’.
  5.  ‘World Pangolin Day’ is observed on the third Saturday of February every year. For 2022, it is being ovserved on 19 February.
  6. Every year India observes the Soil Health Card Day on 19 February to commemorate the launch of the Soil Health Card (SHC) Scheme, and create awareness about the benefits of the scheme. 
  7. The Minister of State for Culture & Parliamentary Affairs  Arjun Ram Meghwal launched the career counselling workshop 'Pramarsh 2022' for the students of the Bikaner District region. 
  8. The Union Ministry of Road Transport & Highways has notified replacement rules. Children under the age of 4 must wear a helmet and safety vest when riding a two-wheeled vehicle.
  9. Assam government will launch a four-year mentorship programme called ‘Project Arohan’ to provide guidance to students and hone their skills.
  10. Mizoram will soon get a motor racing track, which will be the first of its kind in eastern and northeastern India.
  11. Kerala’s first Caravan park is all set to come up in Vagamon, a scenic hill station located in the Idukki district.
  12. Drone delivery-tech firm ‘Skye Air’ has teamed up with the Himachal Pradesh govt for the delivery of medicines and agri commodities in the Himalayan state.
  13. Federation of Associations in Indian Tourism & Hospitality (FAITH) has released the ‘FAITH 2035 Vision Document’ containing goals and an execution path for making Indian tourism preferred and loved by the world by the year 2035. 
  14. HarvestPlus and Grameen Foundation India have signed an Memorandum of Understanding (MoU). The collaboration will focus on health and nutrition initiatives, along with financial inclusion and agriculture-based livelihoods, to enable vulnerable populations (especially women) to overcome poverty and hidden hunger.
  15. India and the United Arab Emirates (UAE) will sign a trade and investment agreement on 18 February 2022 during a virtual summit attended by the countries two leaders. It is called the Comprehensive Economic Partnership Agreement (CEPA).
  16. The country’s GDP is likely to grow at 5.8 percent in the third quarter of fiscal 2022, according to an SBI’s research report-Ecowrap.
  17. A new book titled “Dignity in a Digital Age: Making Tech Work for All of Us” has authored by Ro Khanna released. 
  18. The air forces of Bangladesh and the United States will conduct a joint tactical airlift exercise ‘Cope South 22’.
  19. A new virus called Lassa fever has started causing worry in the United Kingdom, after it was detected in three people, out of whom one died from the infection. 
  20. The Badminton Asia Team Championships 2022 started on February 15, 2022 at Shah Alam, Malaysia. The championship will continue till February 20th.
