1. ‘World Autism Awareness Day’ is observed annually on 2^nd April by the member states of the United Nations. The Theme for ‘World Autism Awareness Day 2022’ is “Inclusive Quality Education for All”.
2. The ‘International Children’s Book Day’ (ICBD) is organized annually on the 2^nd of April since 1967, by the International Board on Books for Young People (IBBY). In 2022, Canada is hosting International Children’s Book Day with this chosen: “Stories are wings that help you soar every day”.
3. Uttar Pradesh has become the top producer of vegetables, getting back its first position by demoting West Bengal to the Second Position.
4. According to the El Dorado weather website, Chandrapur was the third hottest city in the world, with a maximum temperature of 43.2 degrees Celsius.
5. Governor of Karnataka Shri TC Gehlot and Union Sports Minister Shri Anurag Singh Thakur launch the Logo, Jersey, Mascot and anthem of ‘Khelo India University Games 2021’ in Bengaluru on 1 April 2022.
6.  ‘PharmEasy’, a consumer healthcare app launched its latest campaign starring the Bollywood superstar Aamir Khan as its Brand Ambassador.
7.  President Ram Nath Kovind was accorded a ceremonial ‘Guard of Honour’ on 1 April 2022 as he began his three-day state visit to Turkmenistan.
8.  ‘Surya Kiran aerobatic team’ of the Indian Air Force (IAF) on 1 April 2022 carried out a flying display in Hyderabad.
9.  SankalpTaru Foundation has become the First Indian NGO in ‘Environmental Conservation Space’ to Launch Blockchain on 1 April 2022.
10.  Lieutenant General S.S. Mahal assumed charge of the Army Training Command (ARTRAC), Shimla on April 1.
11.  Mahindra Manulife Mutual Fund has announced the appointment of Mr. Anthony Heredia as the Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer on 1^st April 2022.
12.  Dr. S. Raju has taken over as the Director-General of the Geological Survey of India (GIS) with effect from April 01, 2022.  
13. Vice-Chancellor of Indraprastha University, Mahesh Verma has been appointed as the new chairperson of the National Accreditation Board for Hospitals and Healthcare Providers (NABH).
14. Vice Admiral Sanjay Mahindru, NM assumed charge as Deputy Chief of the naval Staff on 31 March 2022.
15.  Vice Admiral Ajay Kochhar, AVSM, NM assumed the appointment of Commandant, National Defence Academy on 1 April 2022 from Air Marshal Sanjeev Kapoor, AVSM, VM.
16. Meghalaya is geared up to host the 83^rd ‘National Table Tennis Championship 2022’, which will take place at the SAI Indoor Training Centre, NEHU in Shillong from April 18 to 25.
17. The largest electric cruise ship in the world has returned back to port in Yichang in Central Hubei Province, China after travelling up and down the Yangtze River for its maiden voyage.
18. A new Book authored by Dr Sreeram Chaulia titled “Crunch Time: Narendra Modi’s National Security Crises” was released on March 31 by the Minister of State for External Affairs, Meenakshi Lekhi.
