  1. The ‘International Day of Human Space Flight’ is commemorated to Mark the Beginning of Mankind’s space era on 12 April.
  2. Prime Minister Narendra Modi stated that the Umiya Mata Temple, a religious site in Gujarat’s Junagadh, has now become a central focus for social consciousness.
  3. The Broadcast Seva Portal was developed by the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting to improve the convenience of doing business in the broadcast industry.
  4. Jammu and Kashmir Governor Manoj Sinha launched a portal ‘AVSAR’ on 11 April, 2022. The portal has been launched under the ‘Connect to Opportunities Initiative’ by Mission Youth.
  5. As a part to the 49th session, The United Nations Human Rights Council (UNHRC) has appointed Tuvalu negotiator Dr. Ian Fry for the post of United Nations (UN) Special Rapporteur on the promotion and protection of human rights in the context of climate change.
  6. Vivek Johri, Chairman, Central Board of Indirect Taxes and Customs (CBIC), presented a set of Time Release Studies (TRS) conducted by the department, on 11 April 2022.
  7. The Sports Authority of India has approved a total amount of Rs 75 lakh to host the ‘Khelo India National Ranking Women Archery Tournament’ over six phases.

  9.  The South American Country- Ecuador became the First country in the World to give legal rights to wild animals.
  10. Pakistan’s opposition leader, Shehbaz Sharif has been elected unopposed as the 23rd Prime Minister of the country through voting in the National Assembly.
  11. Foreign Secretary Harsh Vardhan Shringla has been appointed as the Chief Coordinator of the G20 Summit, which will be hosted by India in 2023.
  12. An Anti-Tank Guided Missile ‘HELINA’ was successfully launched from an indigenously-developed helicopter at high-altitude ranges on 11 April, 2022, Pokhran.
  13.  Assam Chief Minister, Dr Himanta Biswa Sarma presented the country’s highest literacy award, the 56th Jnanpith for the year 2021 to one of the most clelebrated poets of Assams, Nilamani Phookan.
  14. Actor-screenwriter Shiv Kumar Subramaniam has passed away, he was known for his roles in the serial Mukti Bandhan and Meenakshi Sundareshwar.
  15.  Jajasthan Royals all-rounder, Ravichandran Ashwin became the first player in IPL history to get retired out during the high-octane clash agaist Lucknow Super Giants.
  16.  The International Cricket Council (ICC) announced that Pakistan Skipper Babar Azam and Australia’s run-machine Rachael Haynes were named the ICC Men’s and Women’s Players of the Month for March 2022.
