1. ‘World Hemophilia Day’ is observed globally on 17 April every year. The Theme of World Hemophilia Day 2022 is ‘Access for All: Partnership, Policy, Progress Engaging your government, integrating inherited bleeding disorders into national Policy’.
2. ‘National Fire Service (NFS) Day’ is annually observed across India on 14^th April to highlight the importance of fire service and to pay homage to the firefighters who sacrificed their lives in the line of duty.
3. Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled a 108 feet statue of Lord Hanuman in Gujarat’s Morbi on 16 April 2022.
4. The 40^th edition of Hunar Haat began in Mumbai, on 16 April 2022. The 12-day event organized by the Union Ministry of Minority Affairs is aimed at providing exposure and employment opportunities to artisans and craftsmen from across the country.
5. Vedaant Madhavan bagged a silver medal in the men’s 1500m freestyle event at the ‘Danish Open Swimming meet’ in Copenhagen, Denmark, in April 2022.
