  1. Every Year on 25 April, ‘World Malaria Day’ is commemorated to raise awareness about this life-threatening disease that continues to be a menace to humanity. The theme for World Malaria Day of  this year is “Harness innovation to reduce the Malaria disease burden and save lives”.
  2. Every year on 25 April, the World celebrates ‘International Delegates Day’. This day is commemorated to increase awareness of the function of Member States representatives and delegates at the United Nations.
  3. The ‘International Day of Multilateralism and Diplomacy for Peace’ is observed on 24 April every year.
  4. The Government-run organisation, Niti Aayog’s Vice Chairperson, Rajiv Kumar has resigned due to a government order. Suman Bery, an Economist, will take over as the new head of the Planning Agency.
  5. Maharashtra State Environment Minister Aditya Thackeray inaugurated the tap-in tap-out service on the Gateway of India to Churchgate route in an effort to make commuting across Mumbai easier.
  6. Power System Operation Corp. Ltd.’s (Posoco) Northern Regional Load Despatch Centre signed a memorandum of understanding with Indian Institute of Technology, (IIT Delhi) to encourage research on issues relating to India’s Power Sector and strengthen interaction between academia and industry.

  10.  In ‘Khelo India University Games’, weightlifter Govind Sunil Mahajan won gold and   Uday Anil Mahajan won Silver.
  11.  Defence Minister Rajnath Singh felicitated over 300 war-veterans of the 1971 Liberation War of  Bangladesh in Assam on 23 April, 2022.
  12.  France has picked Emmanuel Macron for five more years as the country’s President.
  13.  Tokyo Olympian Deepak Punia settled for a silver medal in the men’s freestyle 86 kg at the 2022 Asian Wrestling Championships,  on 24 April 2022.
  14.  India has entered the Guinness Book of World Records for waving the maximum of national flags simultaneously.
  15.  Agricultural and Processed Food Products Export Development Authority (APEDA) is organising Asia’s biggest B2B international food and hospitality fair AAHAR from 26 to 30 April 2022, in Delhi.
  16.  The Ministry of  Civil Aviation (MoCA) and the Himachal Pradesh govt. signed an MoU on 25 April, 2022.
