1. Rajiv Kumar has been appointed as the Chief Election Commissioner of the Election Commission of India (ECI) with effect from 15 May, 2022.
2. Health authorities in the UK have confirmed a case of monkeypox in a person who recently flew in from Nigeria.
3. Union Home Minister Amit Shah presented the ‘President’s Colours’ to the Assam Police for their exemplary services, in Guwahati on 10 May, 2022.
4. In ‘Cyprus International Athletics Meeting 2022’, India’s Jyothi Yarraji smashed the national record to clinch a gold medal in the women’s 100 m.
