  1. The International Day of Action for Women’s Health or International Women’s Health Day is observed on 28 May.  
  2. 28 May, 2022 marked the 139th birth anniversary of nationalist and freedom fighter Vinayak Damodar Savarkar, popularly called Veer Savarkar.
  3. ‘Africa Day’ is annually observed across the continent of Africa on 25 May to commemorate the founding of the Organisation of African Unity (OAU).
  4. Adani Green subsidiary Adani Hybrid Energy Jaisalmer One Limited has commissioned a 390 MW wind-solar hybrid power plant at Jaisalmer.
  5. Tokyo bronze medallist Lovlina Borgohain has been elected as IBA’s Athletes’ Committee Chair.
  6. India and Bangladesh will begin the third passenger train service on 1 June 2022. The train will operate between New Jalpaiguri in West Bengal and Dhaka in Bangladesh.
  7. New rules for the implementation of the Indira Gandhi Shahari Rozgar Yojana have been accepted by Rajasthan Chief Minister Shri Ashok Gehlot.
  8.  MUFG Bank, a Japanese lender, will open a branch in Ahmedabad’s Gujarat International Financial Tec City (GIFT City) to conduct foreign currency lending.
  9. India Post Payments Bank (IPPB), Department of Post (DoP) and Ministry of Communication have introduced issuer charges for the Aadhaar Enabled Payment System (AePS).
  10.  3rd Global Organic Expo 2022 is poised to be a major platform for Organic Producers, Aggregators, Processors, Value Chain Integrators and the Industry Partners by offering Global level conference, with an apt theme “Profitability for Humanity”.
