  1. The World Oceans Day is celebrated on  8  June every year across the globe. “Revitalization: collective action for the ocean” is the theme for World Oceans Day 2022.
  2. World Pest Day is observed every year on  6 June. The day is observed to spread awareness about pest management and its benefits for plants and people around us.
  3. The Tamil Nadu government recently launched ‘Naan Mudhalvan’ (I am the first).  Under this programme, Tamil Nadu government has now launched ‘Nalaya Thiran’ (Tomorrow’s ability).
  4. The International Aluminium Institute (IAI), the only body representing the global primary aluminium industry, has announced the appointment of Satish Pai as its new Chair.
  5. India has successfully executed a nuclear-capable Agni-4 ballistic missile from APJ Abdul Kalam Island in Odisha.
  6. Indian Army participates in a multinational exercise ‘Ex Khaan Quest 2022’  where 16 other countries also took part  in Mongolia.
  7. The Minister of Civil Aviation Shri Jyotiraditya M. Scindia launched the National Air Sport Policy 2022 (NASP 2022). The vision on NASP 2022 is to make India one of the top sports nations by 2023.
  8. Alok Kumar Choudhary has took charge as the new Managing Director of State Bank of India.
  9. The Chief Minister of Goa, Pramod Sawant has launched a ‘Beach Vigil App’, collaboration between Information Technology Sector and Tourism.
  10.  Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched a special series of coins that are also ‘visually impaired friendly’. The Coins of Re 1, Rs 2, 5, 10 and 20 denominations will have the Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav (AKAM) design.
  11.   India ended their campaign at the Bolat Turlykhanov Cup at Almaty in Khazakstan on the second position with 12 medals.
  12. Times Higher Education (THE) released the Times Higher Education Asia University Rankings 2022 . 4 Indian institutions has secured position in top 100.The Indian Institute of Science (IISc), Banglore continued to be the best institute of the country. It ranked at 42nd place.
