1. The ‘National Yoga Olympiad 2022’ was inaugurated by the Union Education and Skill Development and Entrepreneurship Minister Dharmendra Pradhan.
2. World Refugee Day is celebrated every year on 20 June. World Refugee Day was designated as an International Day by the UN (United Nations). World Refugee Day 2022 focuses on the right to seek safety. The theme of World Refugee Day 2022 is “Whoever, Wherever, Whenever, Everyone has the right to seek safety”.
3. The appointment of new chief justices to five high courts has been approved by the government.
4. Qatar’s Hamad International Airport has been named the World’s Best Airport for the second year running.
5. Prime Minister Narendra Modi has launched the historic torch relay for the 44^th Chess Olympiad at Indira Gandhi Stadium in New Delhi.
6. An Innovative project called ‘National Initiative for Promoting Upskilling of Nirman Workers (NIPUN) was launched on 20 June, 2022 by Union Minister of Housing and Urban Affairs, Hardeep Singh Puri.
7. Chief Minister of Kerala, Pinarayi Vijayan has announced to conduct ‘Kerala Migration Survey 2022-23’, in order to prepare a data bank on Malayali expatriates across the world.
8. The government has decided to implement the Employees’ State Insurance (ESI) scheme in the entire country by the end of 2022.
9.  The Prime Minister Narendra Modi released Ram Mahadur Rai’s book ‘Bhartiya Samvidhan: Ankahi Kahani’.
10.   On 15-17 June, India hosted the 8^th meeting of the heads of border services of the competent authorities of member states of the Shanghai Cooperation Organisation (SCO) in New Delhi.
11.  Gustavo Petro, a former Mayor of Capital Bogota and a longtime senator, who has transformed the social and economic system, becomes first leftist President, who will take office in August 2022.
12.  The Reserve Bank of India (RBI) has approved the proposal to reappoint Vasudevan Pathangi Narasimhan as the Managing Director (MD) and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) of the Equitas Small Finance Bank (ESFB), for a period of one year with effect from July 2022.
13.  Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA-International Federation of Association Football) announced that the FIFA World Cup 2026 will be jointly hosted by the United States, Canada and Mexico.
