  1. World Sports Journalists Day is observed on 2 July every year to celebrate the services of sports journalists for the promotion of sports.
  2. International Day of Cooperatives is marked annually on the first Saturday of July. This year, the day has been observed on 2 July to highlight the contributions of the cooperative movement. For 2022 the theme for International Day of Cooperatives is “Cooperatives Build a Better World”.
  3. The World UFO Day (WUD) is held on 2 July  every year globally. It is a day dedicated to the undoubted existence of Unidentified Flying Objects (UFO) by World UFO Day Organization (WUFODO).
  4. The oldest commercial bank in the country, State Bank of India, is celebrating its 67th year on 1st July.
  5. According to a report by the Hurun Research Institute titled Hurun India Future Unicorn Index 2022, India is predicted to have 122 new unicorns in the following 2-4 years.
  6. Attorney General (AG) K. K. Venugopal has been re-appointed as the country’s top law officer for a period of three months.
  7. First flight of the Autonomous Flying Wing Technology Demonstrator was carried out successfully by DRDO from the Aeronautical Test Range, Chitradurga, Karnataka on 1 July 2022.
  8. Neeraj Chopra clinched his first-ever medal at the prestigious Diamond League meet in Stockholm on 30 June, 2022.
  9.  The Bengaluru Electricity Company (BESCOM) has developed the ‘EV Mitra’ mobile app to provide information about EV Charging stations in Bengaluru.
  10. The ninth Army to Army Staff Talks, which were held in Dehradun, between the Australian and Indian armies, were centred on developing a roadmap for improved defence cooperation and joint military exercises.
  11. On 30 June the Chief Minister (CM) of Himachal Pradesh (HP), Jai Ram Thakur launched ‘Naari Ko Naman’ scheme to provide 50% concession on fares in Himachal Road Transport Corporation (HRTC) buses to women commuters within the state boundaries.
  12.  Central Government has approved a proposal of the Journalist Welfare Scheme (JWS) Committee to provide financial relief to the families of 35 journalists who have lost their lives due to covid.
  13.  Ketanji Brown Jackson on 30 June, 2022 became the first Black woman judge to serve on the United States Supreme Court.
  14.  Engineers India Limited (EIL), New Delhi and CSIR-CSIO, Chandigarh, on 30 June, 2022 signed an agreement for joint commercialization of the ‘Earthquake Warning System’.
