  1. World Paper Bag Day is observed on 12 July every year to raise awareness about the importance of using paper bags instead of plastic bags.
  2. International Malala Day is celebrated every year on 12 July on the occasion of young activist Malala Yousafzai’s birthday.
  3. The Chhatrapati Shivaji Maharaj Terminus (CSMT) in Mumbai has become the first railway station in India to be equipped with augmented reality (AR) screens.
  4. Union Bank of India on 8 July, 2022 launched a Metaverse-based virtual lounge, ‘Uni-Verse’, where it will showcase its products to customers virtually.
  5. Hindustan Aeronautics Limited (HAL) and Safran Helicopter Engines have signed an MoU to develop helicopter engines.
  6. 94 year old Bhagwani Devi Dagar on 10 July, 2022 won the gold medal in the 100m sprint at the 2022 World Masters Athletics Championships held in Finland.
