  1. National Broadcasting Day is observed on  23 July in India. The day aims to remind Indian citizens about the impact of radio on our lives.
  2. The World Fragile X Awareness Day is marked on 22 July every year.
  3. Every year, India celebrates National Flag Adoption Day on 22 July. It was on this day that the tricolour was adopted as the National Flag of India in 1947.
  4. One 97 Communications, the parent entity of Paytm, has hired Nakur Jain as CEO of Paytm Payments Services Ltd (PPSL).
  5. Board of Control for Cricket in India, BCCI President Sourav Ganguly has confirmed that the Asia Cup, which was scheduled to be held in Sri Lanka, would be played in the UAE.

Best Actor: Suriya for Soorarai Pottru and Ajay Devgn for Tanhaji. Best Actress: Aparna Balamurali for Soorarai Pottru.
