  1. World Drowning Prevention Day is observed every year on 25 July It was established by the UN General Assembly Resolution ‘Global drowning prevention’ in April 2021.
  2. Draupadi Murmu took oath as the 15th President of India. In the Central Hall of the Parliament Chief Justice of India N. V. Ramana administered the Oath of Draupadi Murmu.
  3. Vodafone Idea, a telecom Company, said that Akshay Moondra, who currently serves as chief financial officer, has been promoted to CEO with effect from 19 August.
  4. Former Indian women’s team wicketkeeper Karuna Jain on 24 July, 2022 announced her retirement from all forms of cricket.
  5. Neeraj Chopra on 24 July, 2022 won a Silver medal in the men’s Javelin throw event at World Athletics Championships in Eugene, US.
  6. Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on 24 July, 2022 announced the setting up of joint theatre commands of the tri-services to enhance coordination among the armed forces.
  7. Red Bull’s Max Verstappen won the French Grand Prix on 24 July, 2022. Mercedes’ Lewis Hamilton and George Russell came in second and third positions respectively.
  8. Norway’s Casper Ruud won 2022 Swiss Open held in Gstaad, Switzerland on 24 July, 2022.
  9. Renowned Marathi writer Anant Yashwant Khare, better known as Nanda Khare, passed away at the age of 76 in Pune on 22 July, 2022.
  10.   A new book on the legendary actor of Indian cinema, Yusuf Khan, better known as Dilip Kumar, has been released by author Faisal Farooqui. The book is titled ‘In the Shadow of a legend: Dilip Kumar’.
  11.   Monkeypox vaccine, Imvanex has been approved by the European Medicines Agency (EMA) for protecting adults from the virus as cases soar globally.
  12.  Mountaineer Wasifa Nazreen became the first Bangladeshi to scale the second highest mountain peak K2 in Pakistan.
  13.  China has successfully launched the second space module to its permanent space station on 24 July, 2022.
  14.  Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting Anurag Thakur on 24 July 2022 released three books published by Directorate of Publications Division. The three books are : 1. Moods, Moments and Memories  Former Presidents of India (1950-2017) A Visual History,

     2. First Citizen - Pictorial Record of President Ram Nath Kovind's Term

     3. Interpreting Geometries - Flooring of Rashtrapati Bhavan.
