  1. World Organ Donation Day is observed globally on the 13th of August. This year’s theme for World Organ Donation Day 2022 is “let’s pledge to donate organs and save lives”.
  2. International Lefthanders Day is observed on 13 August across the world.  
  3. The Union Cabinet has approved the continuation of Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana-Urban (PMAY-U) till December 2024.
  4. The Union Cabinet has approved the signing of an Audio-Visual Co-Production Treaty between India and Australia with the view to promote the co-production of films.
  5. President Droupadi Murmu has appointed Justice Uday Umesh Lalit as the 49th Chief Justice of India (CJI).
  6. Minister of Fisheries and Animal Husbandry Parshottam Rupala on 10 August, 2022 launched a unique coffee table book titled ‘Fish and Seafood - a collection of 75 gourmet recipes’ in New Delhi.
  7. Uttarakhand CM Pushkar Singh Dhami on 11 August, 2022 named cricketer Rishabh Pant as the brand ambassador of the state.
  8. Meghalaya will host the upcoming 2nd edition of the North East Olympics from 30 October to 6 November in Shillong.
  9. Microsoft and the Indian government will work together on a programme to teach its digital toolkit to almost 2.5 million civil servants.
  10. The Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) has launched a digital platform called the ‘SPARK’ space museum for showcasing several ISRO missions with an interactive interface.
  11.  India’s former International Athlete,  P. V. Kamaraj has passed away in Chennai, Tamil Nadu.
  12.  Famous content creator Deepak Singh has authored a new book titled ‘BRAVO YADAV – Journey of Honorary Captain Subedar Yogendra Singh Yadav India’s Youngest Param Vir Chakra Recipient’, a biography of Param Vir Chakra (PVC) Awardee Subedar Major and Honorary Captain Yogendra Singh Yadav.
