  1. World Coconut Day is celebrated on 2 September every year. The World Coconut Day theme for this year is “Growing Coconut for a Better Future and Life”.
  2. Ministry of Women and Child Development is celebrating the 5th Rashtriya Poshan Maah 2022 across the nation from 1 September to 30 September. The central theme of Poshan Maah 2022 is “Mahila aur Swasthya” and “Bacha aur Shiksha”.
  3. Dr Ashutosh Raravikar has authored a new book titled ‘Indian Banking in Retrospect – 75 years of Independence’. He is currently the Director of the Department of Economic and Policy Research (DEPR), RBI.
  4. The Rajasthan government has come up with its electric vehicle policy to encourage the purchase of electric vehicles in the state.
  5. The Sri Lankan government and International Monetary Fund (IMF) have reached a preliminary agreement for a loan of 2.9 billion dollars.
  6. Home Minister Amit Shah launched the Central Armed Police Forces’ eAwas web-portal in New Delhi on 1 September, 2022.
  7. Indian Computer Emergency Response Team (CERT-In) under the Ministry of Electronics and IT successfully designed and conducted the Cyber Security Exercise ‘Synergy’ for 13 countries in August 2022.
  8.  PM Modi laid the foundation stone for the second phase of the Kochi Metro project on 1 September, 2022.
  9. Yamuna Kumar Chaubey took over as Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) of NHPC on 1 September, 2022.
  10.  Apeksha Fernandes became the first Indian woman to reach the final of the World Junior Swimming Championships on 31 August, 2022.
  11.  A multilateral strategic and command military exercise ‘Vostok’ commenced on 1 September, 2022 in Russia.
  12.  Minister of State for AYUSH, Munjpara Mahendrabhai Kalubhai unveiled a book titled ‘Science behind Surya-namaskar’, in August 2022.  
  13.  Nuakhai is an annual harvest festival in Odisha. Nuakhai is celebrated to welcome the approaching new season and welcome the season’s new rice.
  14. The World’s largest religious monument is expected to cost $100 million and replace Cambodia’s 400-acre-large Angkor Wat temple complex.
  15. Rajesh Kumar Srivastava has been appointed as the new interim chairman of ONGC.
