  1. Every year, India celebrates Teachers’ Day on 5 September. The day is celebrated to mark the birth anniversary of Dr Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan, the first Vice-President and Second President of India. On the other hand, World Teachers’ Day is observed on 5 October.
  2. The International Day of Charity is observed on 5 September. 5 September was chosen to celebrate the day because it is Mother Teresa’s death anniversary.  
  3. Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) has successfully demonstrated a new technology with Inflatable Aerodynamic Decelerator (IAD), developed by Vikram Sarabhai Space Centre.
  4. Union Home Minister Amit Shah on 4 September, 2022 launched the mascot and the anthem for the 36th National Games in Ahmedabad.
  5. Red Bull’s Max Verstappen won the Dutch Formula 1 Grand Prix on 4 September, 2022.
  6. Six-year-old Anishka Biyani won the gold medal in the Malaysian Age Group Rapid Chess Championship at Kuala Lumpur on 4 September, 2022.
  7. In the Leh Edition of the UCI MTB Eliminator World Cup, German cyclists stood first in both men’s and women’s categories.
  8. Bengaluru-based Indian Institute of Astrophysics (IIA) will establish a first-of-its-kind in India ‘Dark Sky Reserve’ in Ladakh.
  9. Krishnan Sankarasubramaniam has taken over as Managing Director and Chief Executive Officer of Tamilnad Mercantile Bank.
  10. Noted historian and first Vice Chancellor of Mangalore and Goa Universities Professor B. Sheik Ali passed away.
  11.  India is set to become the third largest economy in the world by 2029. A State Bank of India report said that India will surpass Germany in 2027 and most likely Japan by 2029 at the current rate of growth.
  12.   The first Homeopathy International Health summit hosted by Dubai aimed to teach and promote a homeopathic system of medicine medications, and practices.
  13. Meghalaya Chief Minister Conrad K Sangma launched ‘Rural Backyard Piggery Scheme’ in August 2022.
  14.   INS Satpura visited Suva, Fiji from 1-3 September, 2022 as its Operational Deployment in the Pacific Ocean.
  15. The University Grant Commission launched three new research grants and two fellowship schemes on 5 September, 2022.
