  1. World Ozone Day is observed every year on 16 September to spread awareness among people concerning the depletion of the ozone layer and find possible solutions to preserve it. The theme of 2022: “Global cooperation protecting life on earth”.
  2. India has launched a joint whitepaper on ‘Urban Wastewater Scenario in India’ with Denmark at World Water Congress and Exhibition 2022 in Copenhagen.
  3. Union Cabinet on 14 September, 2022 approved the signing of guarantees for hosting FIFA Under-17 Women’s Football World Cup in India.
  4. Robin Uthappa on 14 September, 2022 announced his retirement from all forms of cricket.  
  5. Former Indian tennis player and Davis Cup captain Naresh Kumar passed away at the age of 93 on 14 September, 2022.
