  1. World Patient Safety Day is observed on September 17 every year across the World. The theme of 2022: “Medication without Harm”.
  2. A two-day conference on ‘Smart Village Panchayat: Empowering Rural Communities; Leaving No One Behind’ is being organized in Lucknow from 15 September.
  3. Tata group-owned Air India has announced that it will be rebranded as ‘Vihaan’.
  4. In football, India clinched the SAFF under-17 Championship title, defeating Nepal 4-0 in the final in Colombo on 14 September, 2022.
  5. Australian woman cricketer Rachael Haynes has announced her retirement from international cricket.
  6. Joao Lourenco was sworn in for a second term as President of Angola on 15 September, 2022.
  7. Union Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan on 15 September 2022 inaugurated Ramakrishna Mission’s ‘Awakening’ programme for students of classes 1 to 5.
  8. The Indian Navy has revived the Naval training area at Manasbal Lake in Kashmir’s Ganderbal district after 33 years to provide training to National Cadet Corps (NCC) cadets.
  9.  BSF's first female camel riding squad is ready to be deployed along the India-Pakistan border in Rajasthan and Gujarat. The squad will participate for the first time in the BSF Raising Day Parade on 1 December.

  13. Karnataka Government on 13 September, 2022 announced reservations for transgenders in police recruitment, becoming the first state to do so.  
  14.  The Sikkim government hiked the minimum wage for unskilled workers by 67% to Rs 500 on 14 September, 2022.
  15.  Jharkhand Chief Minister Hemant Soren launched Jharkhand Sports Policy 2022 in Ranchi on 13 September, 2022.
  16. The first Naga Mircha Festival was hosted and organized by the Seiyhama Village Council and Seiyhama Naga Mircha Growers. The first Naga Mircha Festival was sponsored by the Department of Horticulture and it was held at the Village Council Hall.
