1. World Mental Health Day is observed every year on 10^th October to raise awareness about mental health around the world and to mobilize efforts to support those experiencing mental health issues. 2022 Theme: “Make mental health for all a global priority”.
2. The 73^rd Raising Day of the Territorial Army was celebrated on 9^th October, 2022. It was inaugurated by the first Indian Governor-General, C Rajagopalachari on 9^th October, 1949.
3. The Odisha government has come up with concrete measures to prevent elephant deaths after being run over by trains.
4. Kavignar Subbu Arumugam, who popularised villupattu, a folk art of southern districts, across Tamil Nadu passed away.
5. Union Minister Anurag Thakur on 9^th October, 2022 inaugurated a Water Sports Centre in Bilaspur, Himachal Pradesh.
6. Union Minister Nitin Gadkari along with Uttar Pradesh CM Yogi Adityanath on 8^th October, 2022 jointly inaugurated the 81^st annual session of the Indian roads Congress in Lucknow.
7. At the 36^th National Games in Gujarat, Tokyo Olympian Srihari Nataraj won the men’s 100m freestyle swimming event to claim his sixth gold medal.
8. Ben S. Bernanke, Douglas W. Diamond and Philip H. Dybvig won the 2022 Nobel Prize in Economics for research on banks and financial crises.
9. Novak Djokovic clinched his 90^th ATP title after registering straight-sets victory over Stefanos Tsitsipas in the final of Astana Open in Kazakhstan on 10th October, 2022.
10.  At the 36^th National Games, Sikha Chauhan of Madhya Pradesh won the gold medal in women’s Kayak event on 10th October, 2022.

12.  PM Narendra Modi laid the foundation stone of several developmental projects worth over Rs 8000 crore in Bharuch district of Gujarat, on 10th October, 2022. 
13.  Mulayam Singh Yadav, the Samajwadi party founder and former chief minister of Uttar Pradesh, passed away on October 10, at a Gurugram private hospital.
14.  Former Indian cricketer Mahendra Singh Dhoni has launched the made-in-India camera drone named ‘Droni’ with advanced features manufactured by Garuda Aerospace.
15.  The Indian Olympic Association has confirmed that Goa will host the 37^th edition of the National Games in October, 2023.
