1. Gujarati New Year or Bestu Varsh was celebrated on 26 October 2022. The Gujarati New Year is also known as Vikram Samvat 2079.
2. The Accession Day of Jammu and Kashmir with the Union of India is celebrated on 26th October.
3. Belgium’s Max Verstappen of Red Bull Racing won the 2022 Formula 1 Aramco United States Grand Prix 2022 which was held at the Circuit of the Americas in Austin, Texas, United States (US).
4. Akshay Shah and Stephen Alter have compiled and edited a new book “The Corbett Papers: Biographical, Legal, & Contextual Material on the Life & Career of Jim Corbett of Kumaon” about Jim Corbett. It is published by Black Kite Publishing.

14. Bengali film Director and National award recipient Pinaki Chaudhuri, has passed away at the age of 82.
15. Karnataka Assembly Deputy Speaker and three-time Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) Member of the Legislative Assembly (MLA), Anand Mamani, passed away at the age of 56.
