  1. Every year World Stroke Day is observed on 29 October to emphasize the serious nature and high rates of stroke. World Stroke Day 2022 theme set by the WSO is “Learn the signs, Say it’s a stroke and save Precious time”.   
  2. World Psoriasis Day is observed every year on 29 October to make the general public aware of the important facts related to psoriasis and this disease and its treatment. In the year 2022, World  Psoriasis Day is being observed with the theme of “Unloading Psoriatic Disease”.
  3. International Internet Day is celebrated on 29 October every year across the world to celebrate the usage of the internet for the first time. 
  4. The World Health Organisation (WHO) released the first-ever list of fungal infections – ‘priority pathogens’.
  5. On 29 October, a 369-foot-tall Shiva statue called ‘Viswas Swaroopam’ that has been built in Nathdwara, Rajasthan’s Rajsamand district, was inaugurated.  
  6. NSDC International (NSDCI) and Perdaman have partnered to create an interface between Indian skilled youth and market opportunities in Australia.
  7. The Steel Authority of India Limited(SAIL) and the Airport Authority of India(AAI) have signed an Operation and Management agreement to facilitate commercial operations from Rourkela in Odisha.
  8. Union Minister of Law and Justice, Kiren Rijiju inaugurated national seminar on ‘Environment and Sustainable Development – Role of Judiciary’ and ‘Digitization of Indian  Judiciary – Its Impact in Dispensation of Justice’ on 29 October, 2022.  
  9. PM Narendra Modi will lay the foundation stone of a C-295MW transport aircraft manufacturing project for the Indian Air Force (AIF) at Vadodara in Gujarat on 30 October, 2022.
  10.  Nirmala Sitharaman, the nation’s finance minister, officially opened the third campus of the Indian Institute of Foreign Trade (IIFT) at the Jawaharlal Nehru Technological University (JNTU)-K campus in Kakinada.
  11. Indian and US militaries to conduct the battalion-level ‘Yudh Abhyas’ exercise between 15 November, 2022 to 2 December 2022. The Yudh Abhyas will be held at Auli in Uttarakhand which is just 100 km from the Line of Actual Control (LAC).  
  12. Spiritual leader Mata Amritanandamayi Devi (Amma) has been appointed the Chair of the country’s Civil 20 (C20), an official engagement group of the Group of 20 (G20), by the union government.
  13.  Minister of Petroleum and Natural Gas & Housing and Urban Affairs, Government of India (GOI), Hardeep Singh Puri has authored a new book titled ‘DELHI UNIVERSITY: Celebrating 100 Glorious Year’.
  14. An Indo-Canadian healthcare worker, Ms. Navjit Kaur Brar, has become the first turban-wearing Sikh woman to be elected as a city councillor of Brampton city in Canada.
  15. The French painter who came to fame with his works reflecting on the shades and forms of black, Pierre Soulages passed away at the age of 102.
