1. Every year on 8 November, World Radiography Day is observed to honour the discovery of X-rays. According to the International Society of Radiographers and Radiological Technologists (ISRRT), the theme of 2022 is “Radiographers at the Forefront of Patient Safety”.
2. World Urbanism Day, also known as World Town Planning Day, is annually celebrated across the globe on 8 November to recognise and promote the role of thorough planning in creating livable communities.
3. Guru Nanak Dev’s birthday in 2022 was observed on the 8th of November.
4. Former Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu has won the 25th elections of the Israeli Parliament defeating the interim PM Yair Lapid of Yesh Atid, a centre-left political party.
5. BYJU’S, the world’s leading education technology company, has appointed football star and global sports icon Lionel Messi as the first global brand ambassador of its social impact arm, Education For All.
6. Smt Droupadi Murmu, President of India, gave the National Florence Nightingale Awards (NFNA) for the year 2021 to nursing professionals at Rashtrapati Bhavan.
7. Rajiv Chandrashekhar, Minister of State for Skill Development and Entrepreneurship, published two volumes on the accomplishments and legacy of Prime Minister Narendra Modi in Dubai.
8. Star Indian batter Suryakumar Yadav has became the first Indian player to score 1,000 T20 International runs in a calendar year.

10. The Defence Research and Development Organisation (DRDO) has launched the Hull Module of the Submersible Platform for Acoustic Characterization & Evaluation (SPACE) facility at the Naval Physical & Oceanographic Laboratory (NPOL) in Kochi, Kerala.
11. On 7 November 2022, the Government of India appointed Justice Rituraj Awasthi, retired Chief Justice of Karnataka High Court as Chairperson of the 22nd Law Commission of India.
12. The Supreme Court (SC) upheld the 10 per cent reservation for the Economically Weaker Section (EWS) among forward castes in government jobs and colleges across India.
13. Apis karinjodian, a new species of endemic honeybee has been discovered in the Western Ghats after a 200-year gap, and given the common name ‘Indian black honey bee’.
14. Uttar Pradesh government announced that Mathura-Vrindavan, one of India’s largest pilgrimage centers, aims to become a ‘net zero carbon emission’ tourist destination by 2041.
15. A total of 15 films will compete for the coveted Golden Peacock at the 53rd edition of the International Film Festival of India (IFFI) in Goa which will be held from the 20th to the 28th of November.
16. The Appointments Committee of the Cabinet (ACC) has appointed Non-Executive Chairman on the Boards of four Public Sector Banks Canara Bank, Punjab National Bank (PNB), Union Bank of India, and Punjab & Sind Bank (PSB) respectively.
